Professor Geraldine Van Bueren QC, one of the drafters of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), is to speak at Amnesty International's event to discuss the progress and prospects for protecting children's rights on 12 November 2014.
The event marks the 25th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the most widely ratified treaty in international law, adopted on 20 November 1989.
Geraldine Van Bueren, Professor of International Human Rights Law at Queen Mary University of London, will be joined by special guests including including Amnesty researcher, Rob Freer.
