Professor Loukas Mistelis, in his capacity as a member of the Advisory Board of the European Federation of Investment Law and Arbitration (EFILA), co-ordinated EFILA’s response to the EU Commission’s consultation on investment protection and investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement (TTIP). This is a very significant consultation process as it would in the medium and long-run affect attitudes and practices relating to investment treaty arbitration. In this task Professor Mistelis co-ordinated a response to the 12 questions set by the EU commissions and contributed to these responses assisted by two PhD students at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary, Gloria Maria Alvarez and Mary Mitsi.
