The Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is co-organising the 'London Annual Summit on Commercial Dispute Resolution in China' with Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), BPP University and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS). The Conference will be held in London on 6 July 2015.

Professor Loukas Mistelis, Director of the School of International Arbitration at QMUL, will give the keynote address alongside Madam Wang Hongson (BAC), Peter Crisp (BPP) and Jules Winterton (IALS).

The summit aims to promote China’s international trade relationships and to increase mutual understanding between Chinese and Western culture.

The 2015 summit will share the latest development in commercial arbitration and mediation in China in a number of specialised fields, and make some predictions on the future legal environment in China. According to the latest statistics, BAC has received 1,015 new cases that together involve an estimate of RMB 17.5 billion in 2015. Since its establishment in 1995, BAC has administered over 25,000 cases. The sum in dispute has reached RMB 140 billion with the highest claim amount of RMB 10 billion.
