Penny Green, Porfessor of Law and Globalisation and Director of the International State Crime Initiative (ISCI), writes for 21st Century Global Dynamics about her recent trip to the vast Rohingya camp in southwest Bangladesh. She writes: “The Rohingya we met had been in the camps for up to six weeks. All those we spoke with had suffered the deepest of human of traumas—the slaughter of family, friends, and neighbours, village burnings, mass rapes, acts of unimaginable barbarity and the total destruction of their homes and homeland.”
