Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott, Anniversary Chair in Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), writes for Prospect Magazine about the potential loss of rights in the Brexit Withdrawal Bill. She says: “The Withdrawal Bill debate goes to the very heart of democracy—to the ability of Parliament to question and hold to account the government, to the protection of our human rights. If we dismiss debate over the Withdrawal Bill as ‘eye-glazing’ we miss the crucial issues of what we stand to lose. And when we wake up it will be too late.”
