Spotify will face tough legal challenges securing a victory over Apple in a dispute over a 30pc 'tax' levied on music streaming companies which has prompted allegations of anti-competitive practices, experts have said.
Ioannis Kokkoris, a Professor at Queen Mary University of London and law expert, said the case would not be a “slamdunk” for Spotify, particularly given the timing of the European Parliament elections this May which will see changes at the Commission.
