Duncan Matthews, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary University of London, addressed Chinese Intellectual Property judges in Beijing on 18 January 2020. The judicial symposium, organised by Renmin University of China, focused on current intellectual property issues relating to the telecommunications sector. At the event, Professor Matthews provided advice and expertise on anti-suit injunctions the calculation of fair and reasonable (FRAND) rates for standard essential patents (SEPs).
Professor Matthews is also Director of the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies.
