Penny Green, Professor of Law and Globalisation and Head of Department of Law at Queen Mary University of London, was interviewed on The Monocle as Myanmar's political detentions continue amid widespread anti-military protests. When asked about the military's strength and their power after the ten days of protests, she said: "I think they [military] may have been quite surprised by the level and extent of the protests. Military coups very often are the product of weak military leadership."
