Penny Green, Professor of Law at Queen Mary University of London, said: “The IDF have made absolutely clear: this is not about precision targeting, which the Israeli military is very proud of its prowess in this regard. But this is about whole-scale bombardment, with no care for targeting”.
“Genocide is a process. It’s not simply a spectacularised act of mass violence, the kind we’re witnessing in Gaza at the moment. The process of genocide takes place over many years, often decades.”
The interview goes on to explore the common stages of a genocide and to what extent they are seen in Israel today.
