He has taught at Queen Mary since 1966 and has been sub-dean and dean of the Faculty of Laws. His academic and teaching interests are in the area of tort and constitutional and administrative law. He was formerly current survey editor of the journal Public Law, and contributed to the All England Law Reports Annual Review.
