Supervisors Professor Lizzie Barmes and Professor Kate Malleson Summary of Research There is growing evidence that the government’s austerity programme is impacting the poorest regions of England along with the most vulnerable members of society disproportionately. It is against this background that this research revisits the potential of legal mobilisation as the anti-austerity movement attempts to minimise the negative effects of austerity, contest aspects of the austerity programme and promote broader institutional reforms. Biography Jenny is a non-practising solicitor (England and Wales). During her time in practice at a Legal 500 law firm, she worked as a commercial litigation solicitor.
