Profile

Michael Skrein became a Visiting Industry Professor at QMUL's School of Law in 2016. He is the Responsible Business Partner, EMEA at Reed Smith LLP, an international law firm with which the university has co-operated on a number of initiatives for a decade or so. Michael is a litigation solicitor specialising in administrative, intellectual property and media law. His cases often have a cross border, multi-jurisdictional flavour. He holds Master’s degrees from the universities of Oxford and of Southern California, has lectured in intellectual property at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and has served for a number of years as a moot judge at the Oxford University Price Media Law Moot Court competition and at the Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot competition.
