Can you share your thoughts on studying at Queen Mary?

There may be a couple of institutions in the world that enjoy the fleeting luxury of being ranked above Queen Mary University of London. However, what gives QMUL an advantage is exactly this - that it is within reach. Being accessible opens doors for naturally diverse opinions within QMUL, as opposed to having a theatrical and deliberate thrusting of diversity.

The importance of such a versatile atmosphere with a diversity of thought cannot be stressed adequately. At Queen Mary, versatility comes organically. If one takes a walk through the corridors at the Lincoln Inn Fields’ campus, one will overhear debates composed of sharply opposing views - all being voiced vociferously. But if one stood there for a while, they would also witness an eventual meeting of minds and hearts. In this way, Queen Mary University not only nurtures a variety of thought, but also teaches the importance of working together as citizens of one world - thereby bringing unity in our diversity.

Everyday I see in action the motto of Queen Mary University- Coniunctis Viribus or, “With United Powers”. It gives me great joy and insurmountable pride to be a part of this unique institution.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

My simple advice to future QMUL students would be to make the most of what Queen Mary has to offer, and to appreciate all the opportunities that are being laid at their feet.
