Why did you choose to study at CCLS?

As one of the leading law schools in the UK, CCLS's hands-on practical approach to its postgraduate specialisms was noteworthy for me. I strived for a welcoming, culturally diverse university as an international student from India. Specialising in a highly sought-after interdisciplinary area of law, economics and finance, I could devise my modules as aligned to my interests and pursuits and had the freedom to attend my classes - both online and offline.

What is your favourite memory of being a CCLS student?

I was the course representative for my specialism, organising the 2022 summer ball for the LLM cohort, as well as various other social and career events for Competition Law students. Another favourite memory is the Cumberland Lodge trip for our orientation in Windsor. I loved my time at Queen Mary and in London. I will be graduating with many lovely memories.

What does being a member of the CCLS community mean to you?

I am delighted to be part of a family that is not only vastly diverse and inclusive but also filled with intelligent, hardworking people who are all about shattering the glass ceiling. I endeavour to live up to its glorious name.

Why do you think prospective students should study at CCLS?

CCLS offers an incredible learning experience supported by a robust administration in the heart of central London. The variety of modules that you can choose from the specialisms and the excellent teaching experiences by renowned Professors will likely enhance your legal, academic and writing skills. QMUL has a vast range of databases and online resources that would ensure your research will be top-notch. A postgraduate degree is undoubtedly an investment that you make to better your prospects.

What was vital about your programme/ were there any highlights?

I found the university staff to be dedicated during the global pandemic. I had the choice of a mixed-mode education, attending numerous career, academic and networking events, and making friends from all over the world, which were the key highlights.
