Valsamis Mitsilegas, Head of the Department of Law and Professor of European Criminal Law at Queen Mary University of London, was recently interviewed as part of the newsletter for the Eurojust organisation. In the interview Professor Mitsilegas gives his thoughts on the European Arrest Warrant (EAW), highlighting its successes and failures.
Eurojust is an agency of the EU dealing with judicial cooperation in criminal matters. Eurojust’s core business is to assist the competent authorities of EU Member States when they deal with serious cross-border and organised crime.
