Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Head of the Department of Law and Professor of European Criminal Law at Queen Mary University of London, has been appointed for a second term (2015-2018) to the Commission’s Expert Group on European Criminal Policy, following a three year term (2012-2015). The aim of the Expert’s Group, whose membership involves select academics and practitioners across the European Union, is to provide strategic advice on the development of the Commission’s legislative and policy agenda in the field of EU criminal law.
