The refurbished spaces in the Mile End Library and the Mile End Library extension opened fully at the start of academic year 2023/24, providing an improved learning environment with 1600 study spaces of various types. The Mile End Library is open 24/7 during UG term time (including the January exam period).
The library-maintained Canalside Study Space is also available for 24/7 study.

Library Services have launched LibKey which is a browser plug-in that provides one-click access to academic resources without going through the library catalogue. There is a video introduction and introductory guide online.
In January 2024, Library Services also launched an enhanced version of the ‘Articles and more’ search.
