After the disruption in academic year 2022/23, in academic year 2023/24, the Mile End Library extension and refurbishment is complete, meaning an improved learning environment is open 168 hours per week during semesters, with 1600 study spaces of various types and improved access to essential resources [photos].
In addition to the existing library collections (in print and online), there are severalways to gain access to resources or add items to the collection. Wealso monitor holds placed on print books and heavy demand for eBooks andpurchase additional copies when necessary.
LibKey is a browser plug-in that provides one-click access to academic resourceswithout going through the library catalogue. There is a video introduction andintroductory guide. Please note that this is a new service and not fully integratedwith QMUL systems. It is being made available now to support final year students inparticular, but please bear in mind that there may be some issues while it is in beta.

Queen Mary also provides access to Senate House Library (SHL). You can search the SHL catalogue to access unique material not available elsewhere or use the physical space for studying.
All QMUL students and staff are now able to take advantage of the SCONUL Access Scheme, which allows you to use over 170 academic libraries in the UK.
