British Library: You can use the British Library public catalogue to find out what is in the collections of the British Library at St Pancras and the Document Supply Centre in Yorkshire.
To use the London readings rooms you will need to apply for a visitors pass. You can pre-register for this. Further information about Registering for a Reader Pass, and the required forms of ID, are available on the British Library website.
You may be asked to prove that the information you need is only available from the British Library. It may be helpful to take a list of materials you wish to consult.
Senate House Library: A centralized research library open to all members of the University of London.
Queen Mary undergraduates, taught post-graduates, researchers and staff can become members of Senate House Library for reference use and for borrowing. They offer remote electronic registration. It is also possible to download and register for cardless access to their e-resources without first visiting them in person.
The Senate House stock is mostly in the areas of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, though it provides basic reference tools in science and medicine and maintains significant collections in the History and Philosophy of Science, Technology and Medicine.
Library Hub Discover: Replaces Copac and enables you to use a single search to find the holding materials from a database of UK and Irish academic, national and specialist library catalogues.
Search25: Search the catalogues of The M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries in London and the South East. Its aim is to provide services and resources for the benefit of learners and researchers.
Worldcat.org: An international network of libraries and library resources giving access to full content, local library holdings and availability information. Formats include books, journal articles, DVDs and CDs. Comment, review and download of electronic full content (where available), are provided by registering for an account and logging in.
