Professor Henry Cecil Kennedy Wyld lectured on English literature and language with a focus on lexicography and philology.
These lecture notes consider English diction and style in English poetry and are accompanied by a copy of the Lyrical Ballads of Wordsworth and Coleridge, who were among the many poets Wyld’s notes covered.
In 1933 Wyld gave three lectures at Westfield College that were later published under the title ‘Some aspects of the diction of English Poetry.’
