Caroline Skeel inherited her family archives and donated them to Westfield College and they were transferred to Queen Mary in the 1990s. A catalogue of the collection is available online.
Professor Caroline Skeel (1872–1951) was a classicist and historian, who taught at Westfield College from 1896 until 1929. Her private papers document her time at the College and include memorabilia from her childhood. They also contain the papers of her extended family of apothecaries and merchants, and date from 1785-1928.
