Libris UK was an independent publishing company, based in London from September 1986 until its closure in 2014.

The catalogue of the Libris UK archives (1980-2013) is now available online. Libris published its first titles in 1988 and from 1990 onwards Libris concentrated almost exclusively on books of and about German literature, from Goethe to Brecht. The Libris collection contains papers and correspondence concerning the editorial process and associated reviews of Libris’ published works. The papers are written in English and German, with some including French and Russian.
The collection contains correspondence regarding publications from the following authors; Rosemary Ashton, Keith Bosley, Bertolt Brecht, Fred Bridgham, Patrick Bridgwater, Brigid Brophy, Richard Dove, Hans Fallada, Theodor Fontane, Franz Fühmann, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Sebastian Haffner, Johann Peter Hebel, Georg Heym, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Erich Kästner, Reiner Kunze and Mireille Gansel, François Lafitte, Georg Lukács, Marian Malet and Anthony Grenville, Eduard Mörike, Hanns Otto Münsterer, Nigel Reeves, Friedrich Schiller, Georg Trakl, Jenny Williams, and Erdmut Wizisla.
