The EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) provides a platform for users to find journal articles and online resources that Queen Mary Library Services subscribes to. The ’new’ Articles and more link was added to Library Search in January 2024 so you may have already experienced this new, improved way of searching.

Using Library Search through the Library Services homepage is still the quickest way to search for Library resources.

Some benefits include:

  • A new clean interface with improved functionality
  • Concept maps – allowing users to interactively and visually explore related concepts
  • One-click linking to PDFs via LibKey for instant access

Users not accessing Library Search via the University network may have to login via the Two-Factor Authenticator before they can view their search results. If it is required, users will be prompted to login with their usual Queen Mary username and password.

Guidance for using the new interface can be found on the Searching E-Resources pages.

This is the latest improvement to Library Search which has included the introduction of LibKey Nomad, a browser extension that will automatically search for access to articles from library-subscribed electronic resources and open access content and Browzine, a platform that helps students and researchers discover, browse and access scholarly content where a subscription is held by Library Services.
