On Friday 21st April, the School of Mathematical Sciences hosted the annual Postgraduate Research Day. This is an annual event that showcases and celebrates the outstanding research being undertaken by our PhD community in the School of Mathematical Sciences, and is open to all staff and students.
This year, the event was held in the University’s new Graduate Centre. At the end of the event, prizes were awarded to 2nd year students judged have given the best poster and to 3rd year students for the best research presentations.
The judging panel consisted of Prof. Leonard Soicher, Dr Shabnam Beheshti and Dr Mira Shamis. Whilst all students were commended by the judges for the high standard of work, several won awards for their research.
The School of Mathematical Sciences Presentation Prizes went to Jarrod Williams and Anum Khalid. The Ann Cook Poster Prizes were awarded to Diego Carranza Ortiz, Teerasak Khoployklang, and Liam Williams.
Congratulations to the winners, and to all who took part!
