Facilities and accommodation

Computing facilities

Students have the opportunity to access the PC Lab, including a high-performance computer and printing network, which can be found in the Mathematical Sciences Building, on the Mile End campus.

Our computer lab includes Bloomberg terminals, with access to this industry-standard software, which is used in the finance industry for the provision and analysis of financial market data and news.  Experience and understanding of Bloomberg software can provide an excellent boost to your CV after graduation.

Other resources

Queen Mary library has about 8000 mathematical books and subscribes to a large number of mathematical journals covering all the research interests of the School. There is access to substantial numbers of electronic journals.

There are several other excellent libraries in London, including the London Mathematical Society collection of journals at University College and the Royal Astronomical Society Library at Burlington House.

Members of the School publish over one hundred books and scientific papers each year. The School has some 20 postdoctoral fellows and often sees more than 100 invited visitors annually.
