“It is a tribute to the hard work and dedication from our fantastically talented team and the wonderful support of Queen Mary, University of London and its medical school. It is incredibly exciting to gain this recognition from the premier award for museums and galleries in the UK.
“Centre of the Cell aims to inspire young people to take an interest in science, to improve their knowledge of science and to encourage them to become scientists and healthcare professionals themselves and we're certainly making headway towards achieving that. We seek to have a positive influence on the lives of the young people we work with.”Centre of the Cell has been applauded for its novel approach to science education since it was opened in September last year. The Centre is based in Whitechapel, east London and has run 340 shows since opening. Sessions are available for schools during term time and for families and the general public during school holidays. To book a session at Centre of the Cell - visit Centre of the Cell’s website.
