Nobel Laureate Sir Tim Hunt FRS, and the University of Oxford’s Professor Marcus du Sautoy are among guests speakers at this years flagship event at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry’s – William Harvey Day (26 October 2010).
A much anticipated date in the School’s calendar, William Harvey Day showcases the very best of its cutting-edge research through a day-long series of lectures; ‘hot topics in science’ sessions, short oral presentations, and poster displays.Sir Tim Hunt FRS and Marcus du Sautoy – Professor of Public Understanding of Science and Professor of Mathematics – are joined by Professor Sir Mark Walport, Director of the Wellcome Trust to deliver the days high-profile lectures.The day concludes with Barts and The London’s NHS Trust traditional annual St Luke’s Tide service at St Bartholomew the Great.All the lectures and presentations will be in the Morris Lecture Theatre in the Robin Brook Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital West Smithfield. The poster display, lunch, coffee and tea will be in the Great Hall of St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Pathology Museum.
