Queen Mary, University of London is awarding more than £10m in studentships to support the most talented and ambitious new researchers. Successful applicants will have their fees covered and living costs supported in recognition of the vital role they have to play in Queen Mary’s lively research community.
Queen Mary is part of the Russell Group of elite research intensive universities that together attract well over two thirds of all available research funding in the UK and account for the same proportion of the very best (‘world-leading’) research in the country.
Queen Mary awards studentships based on funding from the AHRC, EPSRC, ESRC, STFC, and BBSRC. These are allied to 40 Principal’s Studentships which are funded internally by QM.
We also collaborate with a wide range of overseas government and industry funders of research, for example through our China Scholarship Council Scheme. Many of the studentships on offer are jointly held by more than one academic school, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the research activity across QM.
Professor Evelyn Welch, Vice-Principal of Research and International Affairs at Queen Mary, University of London commented: “As one of the leading research universities in the UK, our postgraduate research students play a vital role in ensuring our continued success. We are delighted to be able to support a growing number of research students from around the world through this scheme.”
