Congratulations to those who have received an offer to study at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) for 2015-entry as the university recorded yet another year of increased numbers of UCAS applications.
This year a further 7.8 per cent of applications were made by the 15 January deadline compared to 2014. This increase surpasses the average rise of 2.3 per cent across all universities in the UK, according to data released by UCAS.
The figures demonstrate QMUL’s popularity among prospective students and show that receiving an offer from the university is a significant achievement.
A number of subject areas have particularly increased in demand including Computer Sciences, Psychology, Geography and Law, while new courses such as our BSc(Hons) Accounting and Management and BSc(Hons) Neuroscience have also proved hugely popular.
Professor Susan Dilly, Vice-Principal (Teaching and Learning), commented: “The news that prospective students are applying for places at QMUL in increasing numbers reflects the breadth of our portfolio and the quality of teaching, facilities and student life at the university. It is also evidence of our excellent reputation which will keep growing after our performance in the recent Research Excellence Framework assessment in which QMUL ranked as the 9th best research-led institution in the UK.”
