Queen Mary University of London has joined forces with Cambridge University Library to organise a week-long workshop on digitising medieval manuscripts.
Students from around Europe will join a group of developers to share best practice working with medieval manuscripts. Starting on 23 April, the week of activities will take place in Cambridge.
The collaboration will lead to new directions in the digitisation of medieval documents through the creation of several prototypes.
Dr Eyal Poleg, Senior Lecturer in Material History at Queen Mary said: "This is a unique opportunity for postgraduates from across Europe to push the boundaries of traditional scholarship and innovative technologies".

The initiative has been funded by Queen Mary’s Humanities and Social Sciences collaboration fund, and is part of a wider programme in the Digital Editing of Medieval Manuscripts, funded by the European Research Council.
