Three subjects from Queen Mary University of London’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have been ranked in the top 35 in the world, according to the 2018 QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Top Universities Study.
Performing Arts is ranked as 23 in the world, English Literature and Languages at 32 and Law and Legal Studies places at 34.
The School of Law has had significant success placing at 34 for Law and Legal Studies, its highest ever QS ranking. Impressively, the subject was awarded an academic reputation score of 82.1 per cent. In 2018, the QS Academic Reputation scores were calculated on responses from 75,015 academics worldwide.
The School of English and Drama also performed well, as the Performing Arts subject ranking climbed 7 places to 23 while the English Literature and Languages subject ranking placed was 32. This success is also evident in the overall score of 78.2 percent for both subject rankings.
QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds. The QS World University Rankings by Subject has been published annually since 2011, the rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018 feature two new subjects this year, meaning the rankings now cover a total of 48 disciplines.
