Paid work placements with one of Europe’s leading economic consultancies will be open to Economics postgraduates at Queen Mary University of London, thanks to a new partnership.
The School of Economics and Finance has joined forces with Frontier Economics, which advises on competition policy, anti-trust, regulation, litigation, business strategy and behavioural economics.
From September, Frontier’s consultants will teach on the MSc Economics course at Queen Mary and host student internships at their central London offices. In addition to invaluable project experience and networking opportunities, the top-performing intern will also receive the Frontier Economics Cash Prize.
This is the latest partnership for the School of Economics and Finance, which prides itself on not only close geographical proximity to the City, but also excellent links to its top names, such as the Bank of England, The HM Treasury, Goldman Sachs, Aviva Investors and Interactive Brokers.
Professor George Kapetanios, Head of School, comments: “Our students benefit from respected City practitioners and industry experts, who bring practical insights in to the classroom. Internships enable students to then apply theory to real world scenarios and build their CVs.”
In the latest National Student Survey, Queen Mary was first in the UK for Finance with a 98 per cent satisfaction rating and joint third - and top of the Russell group - for Economics, at 97 per cent.
