Profile
Dr Stafford has taught at six universities, on a range of Politics and Social Sciences courses. He is a specialist in:
- Political leadership and management;
- British politics;
- American politics (executive and local leadership);
- Comparative politics
Prior to the completion of his PhD and University Certificate in Academic Practice at Canterbury Christ Church University, Dr Stafford received an MA (Distinction) in Managing Contemporary Global Issues and a BA (Hons) in Politics and Global Studies with History from the University of Winchester. He is also a Fellow (FHEA) of Advance HE and has been teaching in Higher Education since 2013. He previously worked for two former cabinet ministers and advised on political campaigning and he uses this to highlight employability-related aspects of his teaching. His teaching style is discursive, with active preparation and extra-curricular learning encouraged.
Max is currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Southampton.
