Video interview with Alasdair McDonnell, leader of the SDLP, by Mark Carruthers for Sunday Politics Northern Ireland on 2 June 2013. On the following day a bill proposing the disallowal of ex-prisoners guilty of serious paramilitary offences from taking positions as Special Advisers at Stormont was passed. The SDLP initially indicated that they might block the bill but later decided to allow it come before the Northern Ireland Assembly while abstaining from voting on the issue.
