Video interview with Brendan Mac Cionnaith, spokesperson for the Garvaghy Road Residents’ Association, for ITN on 4 July 2000. Earlier the Parades Commission had ruled that an Orange Order parade could not return from Drumcree to Portadown via the mainly nationalist Garvaghy Road. On 2 and 3 July rioting broke out between loyalist protesters and the security forces over the issue. Mac Cionnaith discusses the Parades Commission’s ruling.
