Video interview with Deirdre Hargey, Sinn Fein local government prospective candidate for Pottinger, for RTE 1 on 21 February 2005. On 30 January Robert McCartney was fatally attacked in a Belfast bar, dying of his wounds the following day. McCartney's family subsequently launched a high profile international campaign seeking justice for his death. Although elements of the republican movement were suspected of involvement no one has ever been prosecuted for this murder. Deirdre Hargey, a potential Sinn Fein candidate for the Pottinger constituency at the May 2005 local elections, discusses the party's reaction to the McCartney case.
