Video interview with Gerry Adams, president of Sinn Féin, by Jon Snow for Channel 4 in September 1994. On 31 August 1994 the Provisional IRA announced a cessation of military operations. In this interview Adams discusses the potential significance of this announcement in building towards a political agreement in Northern Ireland. On 9 February 1996, the Provisional IRA ended their ceasefire, detonating a bomb in the London docklands which killed 2 and injured 40.
