Video interview with Ian Paisley, leader of the Protestant Unionist Party, by John O’Donoghue for RTE News in December 1968. In August of that year the Northern Ireland civil rights movement began public marches in support of its objectives causing community tensions between Catholics and Protestants. One such march was stopped by the RUC in Armagh in November 1968 on account of a loyalist counter-demonstration led by Ian Paisley and Ronald Bunting. Paisley discusses the events at Armagh and his policy towards the civil rights movement.
