In that same month Brian Faulkner and William Morgan resigned from Terence O'Neill's administration over the issue of the latter's support for political reform. Twelve members of the Unionist Party also wrote an open letter to O'Neill calling for a change of leadership. Paisley discusses the potential alternatives to O'Neill as Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. O'Neill was to resign as Prime Minister in April 1969.
