Transcript of an interview with Jack Lynch, Irish Taoiseach, by Alan Hart for BBC Panorama and published in the Irish Times on 6 February 1973. In March of that year the British government introduced a White Paper entitled ‘Northern Ireland Constitutional Proposals’ which included plans for a devolved power-sharing assembly and a Council of Ireland. In advance of the publication of this document Lynch discusses the key proposals and outlines his vision for unionists within a united Ireland. The Irish Times is the leading daily newspaper in Ireland.
