Video interview with James Chichester-Clarke, former Northern Ireland Minister of Agriculture, by Ronnie Turner for RTE News in April 1969. On 23 April the Unionist Party announced that it had passed a resolution adopting the principle of universal adult franchise at the next local government election. Chichester-Clarke resigned in protest at this reform. In this interview he explains the reasons for his decision. Chichester-Clarke would become leader of the Unionist Party and Prime Minister of Northern Ireland on 1 May 1969.
