Transcript of an interview with John Major, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on 29 February 1996. On 9 February, the Provisional IRA ended its ceasefire, detonating a bomb in the London docklands which killed 2 and injured 40. Meanwhile, on 28 February the British and Irish government issues a joint Communiqué setting 10 June as the beginning of all-party talks on the basis of the Mitchell Principles. A Provisional IRA statement of the following day once again rejected any preconditions to political negotiation.
