Video interview with Martin McGuinness, deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, by Alan Fisher for Al Jazeera Talk to Jazeera in November 2007. In May the DUP, Sinn Féin, UUP and SDLP formed a new Northern Ireland Executive, devolved power-sharing government having been provided for in the St. Andrew’s Agreement. In this interview McGuinness discusses the events in the Peace Process which led to power-sharing government in Northern Ireland. This is the first part of a two part interview.
