Transcript of an interview with Martin McGuinness, Northern Ireland Minister of Education, by John Humphrys for the BBC television programme, On the Record. David Trimble and the UUP have agreed to set up the Northern Ireland Executive on condition that the IRA cooperate on decommissioning with General John de Chastelain. Trimble has lodged a post-dated letter of resignation with the Speaker of the Assembly which he will invoke if he does not believe IRA decommissioning to be taking place. Martin McGuinness states that he is happy that the institutions outlined in the Agreement can now be set up and discusses with Humphrys what he believes to be the appropriate way forward. On the Record was BBC's flagship political programme.
