Audio interview with Michael Copeland, UUP MLA for Belfast East, and Conall McDevitt, SDLP MLA for South Belfast, by Stephen Nolan for BBC Radio Ulster The Nolan Show on 10 May 2013. On the previous day Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness, First Minister and deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland respectively, announced a new strategy for building a shared future entitled ‘Together: Building a United Community’. This strategy proposes the removal of peace walls within ten years; the creation of schemes for youth integration and the establishment of a cross-party working group to deal with issues such as flags, parading and reconciliation with the past. Copeland and McDevitt discuss the potential of the new strategy. The Nolan Show is BBC Radio Ulster’s daily current affairs programme.
