Video interview with Michael Martin, leader of Fianna Fail, by Mark Carruthers for BBC Northern Ireland The View on 8 November 2012. In September a DUP motion calling for the Irish government to apologise for its alleged role in the emergence of the IRA during the Troubles was passed in the Northern Ireland Assembly by a single vote. In this interview Michael Martin responds to the claims made in the parliamentary motion and discusses Sinn Fein’s approaches towards policing in light of the Padraig Wilson arrest and David Black killing earlier that month. Talkback is BBC Radio Ulster’s daily afternoon phone-in programme.
