Under the terms of the Belfast Agreement/Good Friday Agreement, a Criminal Justice Review Group was established to address elements of the judicial system including prosecution arrangements and lay involvement in that system. Its report, published on 30 March 2000, outlined proposed reforms of the judicial system in Northern Ireland. Paul Mageean discusses the proposals suggested by the report.
