Interview with Rev. William McCrea for ITN on 1 September 1988

Video interview with Rev. William McCrea, DUP MP for South Antrim, for ITN on 1 September 1988. On 20 August an IRA bomb at Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone killed eight and injured twenty-eight British Army soldiers. Ten days later, three members of the IRA were killed by an SAS unit near Drumnakilly in Co. Tyrone. Street violence followed in Belfast. At a DUP press conference on 1 September McCrea praises the overall work of the state security forces and calls on the people of Northern Ireland to repudiate paramilitary organisations.
