He suggests that on occasions his approach was amoral. He believes that the British and Irish governments are intent on dispensing with middle unionism and middle nationalism. The interview was conducted as part of the Guardian’s three day series examining Tony Blair’s involvement in the Northern Ireland Peace Process, three months before his resignation as British Prime Minister.
