In January 1965 Lemass met Terence O’Neill, the Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, in Belfast to discuss economic cooperation and then welcomed O’Neill to Dublin one month later. In this interview Lemass discusses the economic significance of the talks and the future of North-South relations. The Irish Times is the leading daily newspaper in Ireland.
